With WhatsApp, you need to have a phone number, which you have to provide for a video call, so both the retailer and the purchaser have to share their numbers and make them public.

ShopCall does not use telephone numbers for video calls. It works with a link to click on, or a QR code to scan using your smartphone camera.
Retailers and purchasers can contact one another anonymously, without sharing their private phone number.
